Good morning, my friends and fam!!
I’m sorry for a late blog update. I
promise I did try to stay awake once we returned from Disney World, but I just
couldn’t.
The photos truly speak for themselves,
even better than yesterday’s post, so I won’t waste too much time writing.
I definitely enjoyed Disney World more
than Universal. However, I’ve found both were really overhyped. I could go on
very similar rides at home so I guess it is really about the merch and sites
for photos. Disney was simply magical— I’m so glad I got to go.
I almost didn’t, as some of you may
know. Our travel agent got us the wrong tickets, that were for the mini parks.
So this morning we headed to Animal Kingdom to see if we could switch the
tickets. It was a longshot, but hey, we tried.
But then it actually
worked?????????????????????
AMAZING. ILY, TICKETMAN.
After 2hrs, we made it to Magic Kingdom.
The first hour was filled with me losing Charlotte at the gift shop, and then
me waking my mother up at 2am for Disney World Pandora charms, exclusive to
their shop.
Here’s the order of sites we visited:
Adventureland
Swiss Family Treehouse
Jungle Cruise (the puns, non stop, for
10 mins, was painful. Especially when the kids didn’t understand. We just sat
in silence).
Pirates of the Caribbean
Frontierland
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (fave ride
today probs, worth the almost hour wait)
Tom Sawyer Island (Char hated this but
ahhhhhh I loved it— it was so cool to walk through a replica island)
Walt Disney World Railroad
Fantasyland
We got lost for about 15 mins bc we read
our map wrong, and we walked through the smoker’s section 2x. So sad to see
some parents, too fat to walk so in the wheel-y chair thing, blowing smoke into
their children’s faces.
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
“it’s a small world”
Under the Sea- Journey of the Little
Mermaid (FAVE- LOZ, YOU WOULD’VE ADORED IT)
Airel’s Grotto (Also fave, got to meet
my #1 bae, I just wish Belle was around too)
Mad Tea Party (a classic)
Fairytale Garden
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (we were stuck
behind 2 cheer squads who were pumped for nationals, followed by their very
proud mothers who obviously live vicariously through their daughters, and
ohhhhhh my gosh they wouldn’t shut up, oh and I had a mother behind me who
didn’t know what personal space was— neither did her
touchy-let-me-grab-ur-butt-every-30-seconds toddler— NO MATTER HOW CLOSE YOU
STAND TO THE PERSON IN FRONT OF YOU, YOU ARE NO CLOSER IN LINE. WHY DO PEOPLE
PRACTICALLY PRESS THEMSELVES UP TO THE PERSON IN FRONT OF THEM????)
We tried to go to Be Our Guest but it
was reservations only and nope that wasn't worth it (But I really wish I did
now, kinda, I adore Beauty and the Beast… as I’m sure a few of you know as I
post something about it at least once a week on my facebook).
I went to Big Top Souvenirs to buy
somebody’s present.
Tomorrowland
I didn’t do much here. It was the end of
the day.
Tomorrowland Speedway (omg I cannot
drive at all. Why was I given the wheel?? It was a disaster. We came 30th of 33
I think)
Char went on Space Mountain
I visited the Tomorrowland Transit
Authority PeopleMover (it was hilarious and so 50-60’s futuristic)
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (more
laser tag like the MIB thing from yesterday, except this time I didn’t win so I
swear my gun was broken. Oh, and another cheer squad was in front of us in the
line — and cut in, mind you. I allowed 1 but then literally her entire family
joined ffs)
Aaaaaaaaand nobody cares about Liberty
Square.
I’ll try to stop writing as much now,
enjoy the footage.

Videos:
Laughing at Char falling over
Me, later, falling over
The cringiest video you will see: me, attempting to drive. A 4 year old overtaking me.
Overall, it was amazing. I’m very
thankful our tickets were able to be exchanged. I wish I could’ve seen Belle,
but it was really cute to meet Ariel. My feet are broken. Getting home was easy
enough (2 monorails— we were going to get the ferry but that didn’t work out—
and then some guy with a massive black car picked us up).
Now for me to check out of my hotel...... and back to NYC we go!!
